Kristi Dinsmore - Director, Client Professional ServicesSinclair Community College(http://workforce.sinclair.edu)
The world is changing... and Ohio is no different. As the state moves away from manufacturing and into services such as aerospace, IT and healthcare, companies are looking for more skilled workers than ever before. One such company is adding 100 positions in the next three years and is worried where the talent will come from.
Enter the community college... enter Kristi Dinsmore.
Kristi is the Director of Client Professional Services at Sinclair Community College. Her organization functions within the college, working hard to partner businesses with graduates, skilled workers, consultants and other businesses. Her goal is to be employer focused, understanding their needs and bringing solutions to them, thus assisting them to be more effective, perform at a higher level and experience growth.
Prior to joining Sinclair, Kristi was Vice President, Consulting Services for Right Management Consultants where she focused on leadership development, specifically coaching senior executives and high-potential talent. From 1999 through 2003, she was Director of the University of Dayton’s Center for Leadership & Executive Development where she created custom-designed development offerings for Fortune 1000 senior executives.
She has experience working in the retail, consumer products and technology industries with both global and national companies. Kristi has worked extensively with such nationally known business thought leaders as Ram Charan, Jim Kouzes, Brad Smart and Robert Goldberg. Since joining Sinclair, she has focused on leveraging her corporate and leadership development experience to meet client management and consulting needs in the area of individual and organizational effectiveness. She is a qualified interpreter of numerous assessment instruments including the Chally selection, development and strengths assessments, the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, Teleometrics’ Models of Management, The Birkman, the Life Styles Inventory and Organizational Culture Inventory (Human Synergistics), and various leading 360º appraisal processes including CCL’s “Benchmarks” 360° assessment. One of the reasons Kristi is excited about the Midwest BUG is that she isn't "competing" with anyone... she's looking for great talent to bring to the table to meet the objectives of Sinclair College in helping other businesses. And she loves the Birkman. She says it's great for coaching and team building because, for one reason, it allows everyone to understand and appreciate their own contribution to the team, and the team to appreciate that it takes everyone to be successful. The Birkman is "deep and is valuable at every level." (By the way - she's a red - though - you already knew that.) There's no question the Community College will play a greater role in preparing students to excel in world of tomorrow. Kristi is positioning Sinclair to be a major player in the midwest region as employers look for skilled talent, both in graduating students and through the kind of partnerships she is forging through the school. Great to have you in the group Kristi! |
